Neonatal nursing is a relatively new specialty by comparison to adult health, midwifery, or other areas of nursing. Because it is new, there are great opportunities for nurses to devote their skills to newborns who need specialized care. Here are some links of interest:

Hi Carolyn,
I see that this blog hasn't been updated for a while, but I was wondering about your experience as a NICU nurse. I work for a pharma-training company that is working on a project regarding respiratory distress syndrome. We're looking for NICU nurses to interview about their day-to-day. You obviously seem to have a great passion for what you do, and I'd appreciate getting your perspective for this project.
